You may have noticed the mention of feeding my dogs a raw diet and are probably wondering about that.   About 6 years ago I noticed that my dogs were  itchy and dry, had icky ears, lacked luster in their coats, and always needed to have their teeth cleaned.  They were pretty healthy but not vibrant!  I started pondering this because I am picky about what my human family eats but never really thought past the can or bag for my dogs.  My vet told me that what I was feeding was fine and so did the person at the pet store.  But......I started to question whether what they were eating was truly healthy. It didn't make sense to me that dogs should be eating the same dry or canned food all the time.  This certainly isn't what they would be eating in the wild. I also wondered what was really in that food so I started to research.  Right away I came across an alternative way of feeding that is called Rawfeeding or has been called BARF in the past.  I am a person who researches things to the fullest before I dive in so I spent a long time finding out all there was to know about Rawfeeding.  It made a lot of sense!  I also found out that giving vaccinations yearly and exposing my dogs to toxic flea/tick chemicals was very harmful to their health.  I have totally changed my way of thinking as far as vaccination too.  I am including many links for you to start doing your own research and you can come to your own conclusions.  Too often in this day we let others think for us.  We believe everything our vets tell us and we believe the ads we see for big name dog foods.  If you care about your animals, it is time to start thinking for yourself and doing your own research.   PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS!!!  My dogs thrive on being naturally reared and no one could convince me to change back to commercial food!  I will not raise my puppies on anything but this because this is what their bodies were designed to eat.  The difference in a kibble fed or raw fed puppy is amazing.   The raw fed, naturally reared  puppies are the ones that know true health!
